Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Description :
SP3302A is a USB controller-less ADSL modem for customer premises. As
such it provides all software modems’ advantages:
1. Cost. Software modems use the processing power of the host, which is
allowed using software routines instead of hardware.
2. Flexibility. The fundamental algorithms of the modem are part of the
driver, which can easily be modified as any other software module.

1.3 LED Interface
There are four LED indicators on the front panel of yo ur ADSL USB
modem as shown. In the schematic below each of which displays an
operational status.
ACT illuminated when the USB bus congests
LINK illuminated when the ADSL transceiver is in Showtime Mode
USB illuminated when data is received from the ADSL line
Power illuminated when the ADSL power on
