All measuring values are transmitted as Int32, Uint32 or Float depending on the connected sensor.
Scaling of measuring values:
The measuring value is transmitted as Int32 or UInt32, then the formula is:
Measuring value =
+ Offset
(Digital value (Int32/Uint32) - DataRangeMin) * Measuring range
DataRangeMax - DataRangeMin
The measuring value is transmitted as Float, then the formula is:
Measuring value = Digital value (Float)
The unit of the measuring value and the parameter measuring range, Offset, DataRangeMin, DataRangeMax
can be accessed for each channel via the sensor commands $CHI and $MDF.
Example: Measuring range = 500, Offset = 20, DataRangeMin = 0, DataRangeMax = 16777215
Unit = μm
Digital value = 2523552
Measuring value =
+ 50 = 95.21 µm
(2523552 - 0) x 500
1677215 - 0
By default, the measuring values are continuously output with the set data rate via the data port.
However, there is also a trigger mode, wherein individual measuring values can be queried, see Chap.
6.3.2
