DUETTE® Honey-comb Pleated/ Pleated blinds with this sign are 

washable. Please close the blind, pull the entire blind together into a 

package, and remove it from the brackets. Soak the closed blind in the 

bathtub with 30 degree (lukewarm) water and a mild detergent.  After 

approximately 15 minutes, open the blind. With honeycomb blinds, let 

the water run out of the blind immediately. Wash with gentle and 

constant movements in the soapy water. Take the blind out of the water 

by holding it by the top and bottom rails and thoroughly rinse the blind 

on both sides with clean water. For honeycomb blinds, make sure to also 

rinse out the inside of the honeycomb

Attention, be sure to take the 

DUETTE® honeycomb pleated blinds out of the water with both 

hands and at an angle so that the water can run out of the 

honeycombs immediately. 

Fold the fabric back together again and 

squeeze all the water out. Hang the blind back into its brackets when it is 

damp and closed. Let it dry CLOSED for at least 12 hours. Open and 

close the system several time

 while it is drying. Do not iron!

DUETTE® honeycomb blinds / pleated blinds with this symbol are not 

washable. Dirt can be wiped off without applying pressure with a suitable 

damp cloth or rag. Do not rub! 

Pleated blinds with this symbol should only be carefully brushed dry with 

a soft clothes brush.

Pleated  blinds  with  this  symbol  have  an  aluminized  backside.    When 

fabrics  like  this  have  not  been  cleaned  for  a  while,  they  can  show 

damage  to  the  aluminum  coating.  Cleaning  can  make  this  damage 

worse.  Dirt  from  insects  can  also  peel  off  the  coating.  No  cleaning 

guarantee  can  be  given  for  pleated  blinds  with  an  aluminum  coated 

backside. 
Fabrics with this symbol have a particular textile aesthetic.  Irregularities 

in the fabric are normal and a part of the fabric's character; therefore, 

they are not grounds for complaint.
