General Cooking Times for Pizza

Frozen Pizza – For pizza’s cooked from frozen, allow approx 15 to 20 minutes depending on the size and
thickness of the pizza. This will also depend on the toppings used.

Non-Frozen Pizza – For non-frozen pizza’s, allow approx 10 to 15 mins depending on the size and thickness of
the pizza. This will also depend on the toppings used.

Homemade Pizza (using pre-made pizza base) – Homemade pizza’s using a pre-made pizza base and unfrozen
ingredients will generally cook faster than a frozen pizza. These pizzas take approx 10 to 15 mins to cook,
depending on the size and thickness of the pizza and the base used. This will also depend on the toppings used.

Homemade Pizza (using homemade pizza base) – When using a homemade pizza base (i.e. using pizza dough),
the cooking time will be quicker again. This also depends on the thickness of the base used. Make sure that the
pizza dough is not sticky, as it may stick to the Pizza Stone. If the dough is slightly sticky, you should flour the
Pizza Stone, and place the homemade pizza base on top of the flour.

NOTE:

For a crispier base, try pre-heating the Pizza Stone for 5 to 10 minutes before cooking the pizza.

NOTE:

Pizza’s should be checked regularly through the viewing window for cooking progress, or by opening

the lid to check the pizza and the base.

Pizza Making Directions (using pre-made pizza base)

1.

Add a base sauce or paste to the pre-made pizza base. The most common pizza base is tomato paste,
but others such as BBQ sauce, pesto, hummus etc. can be used.

2.

Place some grated cheese on the pizza base.

3.

Add other ingredients, such as meats (ham, smoked chicken, salami, etc.), vegetables (tomato,
capsicum, onion, etc) and other ingredients (mushrooms, etc.).

4.

Add your favourite grated cheese to taste.

5.

Add a finishing sauce if you like, such as BBQ, cranberry, plum, and so on.

Have fun experimenting with other pizza toppings!
