Adjusting the brakes
According to the <
Maintenance in-
structions
> the brakes are to be
checked for function after each repo-
sitioning of the drive wheels and re-
adjusted if necessary.
– Loosen the clamping screws (1) of
a pressure resp. butterfl y-brake.
– Afterwards Preadjust the respec-
tive brake by repositioning it ac-
cordingly.
Pressure brake:
– For this slide the brake bolt of the
inactivated brake to approx. 5 mm
- 10 mm in front of the drive wheel
and align it at a right angle to the
drive wheel.
Butterfl y brake:
– For this slide the brake bolt of
the activated butterfl y-brake di-
rectly in front of the drive wheel
and align it at a right angle to the
drive wheel. Afterwards loosen the
brake and push it back 5 mm to-
wards the drive wheel.
– Retighten the clamping screws (1).
Adjust the opposite pressure resp.
butterfl y-brake as described.
Check the pressure resp. butterfl y-
brake under observation of
– tread of the drive wheels,
– air pressure of the tyres and
– user
weight.
adjust evenly. – Danger of accidents
caused by one sided braking effect!

Function and accurate fi t of the
brakes.
Fine adjustment of the pressure
brakes
– Slacken the clamping screw (2).
– The respective fi ne-tuning is
achieved by slightly sliding the re-
spective pressure brake within the
area of the clamping rail.
– Retighten the clamping screw (2).

Inspect function and accurate fi t of
the pressure brakes.
