7.2 UNLOADING
NOTE: Unloading is best observed from the operator’s seat.
Once the trailer under the discharge end of the reloader is full, follow the steps listed below:
1. Stop the conveyor.
2. Drive the loaded trailer away.
3. Drive the next empty trailer into place.
4. Start the conveyor.
Repeat this process as needed.
NOTE: When the reloader conveyor stops, the vehicle unloading into the reloader should stop as well.
Shutoff and lockout power before performing machine service,
adjusting, maintaining, or cleaning an obstruction from this machine.
Refer to section 5.3 SHUTOFF & LOCKOUT POWER.
Keep all persons clear from under reloader and the unloading area.
The reloading process described is to be performed by the operator
alone. This will eliminate unexpected “start-ups” and minimize other
hazards that could result by more than one person in control.
Never enter the reloader without shutting power “OFF” and locking
out the machine. (See 5.3 SHUTOFF & LOCKOUT POWER).
Never use “LIVE” power to aid in the clean-out of a clogged machine.
If any component fails, shut off and lockout all power to the reloader.
Repair or replace damaged components before proceeding with
unloading of the material.
