4.14 SERVICE PLATFORM

To make operation and maintenance as easy
and safe as possible the crusher should be
equipped with the service platform. If the
service platform has not been ordered and
supplied with the crusher, it should be built by
the operator.

Th e service platform of the crushing
equipment must be constructed according to
the ISO 2867 or corresponding standard. The
suitable level for the platform is the upper end
of the crusher. The platform must be at least
600 mm (2 ft) wide, firm and safe to use. The
access (stairways or ladders) to the platform
must be firm enough. The platform, stairways
and ladders must be provided with handrails to
prevent personnel from falling.

All the national regulations on the service
platforms of the crushing equipment must be
observed.

4.15 SETTING CONTROL

Setting control system (standard)

The crusher is equipped with a setting control
system that keeps the setting at the desired
value. It returns the setting back to correct
value after an overload situation and decreases
the setting a certain amount if the overload is
continuous.

Lokoset (option)

When using Lokoset, the normal control mode
is setting control. Power or pressure control is
allowed only in special cases that are approved
individually.

4.16 PRESSURIZED DUST SEALING

The crusher is equipped with pressurized dust
sealing system. It should be noticed that the
blower unit must be installed as close to the
crusher as possible but not further than 1 meter
(3 ft) from the crusher.

Mounting height is correct when the pressure
port of the blower is higher than frame
connection flange of the lower frame.
