Storage
• Before storing, make sure that the appliance is
completely cooled down, clean and dry.
• Store the appliance in a dry, protected
environment, preferably at room temperature, and
out of the reach of children.
• Preferably store the appliance in its original
packaging.
5. Disposal
Environmental Protection
Discarded electric appliances are
recyclable and should not be discarded
in the domestic waste! Please actively
support us in conserving resources and
protecting the environment by returning
this appliance to the collection centres.
6. Warranty
A statutory warranty applies for this product.
Damages caused by wrong treatment or operation,
by false placement or storage, improper connection
or installation, as well as force or other external
influences are not covered by this warranty. We
recommend careful reading of the operating
instructions as it contains important information.
Note:
1. In case this product does not function correctly,
please firstly check if there are other reasons, e.g.
for electrical appliances interruption of the power
supply, or generally incorrect handling are the
cause.
2. Please note that, where possible, the following
documents or rather information should be
provided together with your faulty product:
– Purchase receipt
– Model description/Type/Brand

3. Operation
Operating elements
Temperature control dial
with power indicator
• Turn the dial clockwise to
set the desired temperature
(approx. 35-95°C). The
power indicator lights up.
• After use, turn the dial
back anticlockwise to
position . The power
indicator goes out. Only then
disconnect the power plug
from the electrical outlet.
Note: Turn the dial to a high
setting to heat up the soup.
When the soup has cooked
or reached the desired
temperature, turn the dial
back to a medium or low
setting to keep the soup
warm.
Overheating protection
The appliance’s overheating protection switches off
the appliance when not enough water remains in the
cauldron housing. Check regularly if enough water
remains, and refill when necessary, as automatic
switch-offs will shorten the life span of the appliance.
If the overheating protection has shut down the
appliance, it cannot be used anymore. A qualified
electrician is required to re-activate the appliance.
4. After use
Cleaning
• Switch off and unplug the appliance and let it cool
down completely before cleaning or maintenance.
• Do not clean the appliance with steel wool, strong
chemicals, alkali, abrasive or toxic agents, as they
may damage the surface of the appliance and
pose a health hazard.
• Do not clean the appliance with a water jet or a
steam cleaner. Do not immerse the appliance in
water or other liquids to clean it. Never hold the
appliance under running water. Make sure that no
water enters the appliance while cleaning it.
• Clean the cauldron housing and the outside of the
appliance with a soft damp cloth and a little mild
detergent after each use. Dry with a soft dry cloth.
• Clean the cauldron, collar and lid with warm
water, mild detergent and a soft sponge or brush
after each use. Dry with a soft dry cloth.
• The appliance may only be used again after it is
dried completely.
