B. Warranty Settlement
For the settlement of a particular warranty case,
the following conditions must be fulfilled:
1. The warranty request application form must be
submitted immediately after repair, or no later
than 30 days after the repair. Late incoming
warranty requests do not have to be considered
by METEC.
2. The warranty request application form must
be entirely completed. Incomplete warranty
requests cannot be accepted by METEC and
will be returned to the sender.
3. All defective parts must be forwarded together
with the warranty request application form.
Warranty requests can only be considered by
METEC once they are in possession of the said
defective parts.
4. If the warranty case is accepted by METEC; the
inquirer will obtain a credit note
a. for the replaced parts
b. for the spent working time, according to
the standard time-rate of METEC or third
suppliers. Time-rates are to be determined
by METEC.
5. The credit note for the replaced parts is based
on the current sales prices valid at the day of
issue, less the usual discount.
6. If it concerns a warranty request for foreign
products, the request will be forwarded to
the producer. After decision of the same, the
corresponding credit note will be granted to the
applicant by METEC.
7. Queries about completed warranty requests will
only be possible during the 12-month warranty
period.
8. No person, firm or corporation is authorized to
change or extend this warranty or grant any
other warranty unless such change is made in
writing and signed by an Officer of METEC Metal
Technology Inc.
