Notification Appliances—CH Series Chimes and Strobe Chimes 19
Refer to Figures 8 through 13 when wiring the device. These figures illustrate the
polarity for the devices when the FACP is in the alarm mode. When the FACP is not in
alarm, the NAC polarity will be opposite of that illustrated.

Note:
The volume and tone controls have been adjusted at the factory to ensure
maximum dBA output.
Each input terminal accepts two leads for in-out wiring of
No. 12 to 18 AWG wire.
1. Strip wire leads approximately 3/8 inch for connection to terminals.
2. Break wire run at wiring terminals to provide electrical supervision. (Figure 10) Do
not loop wires under the terminals.

Follow the steps below to ground the device.
1.
Connect the ground wire to the backbox.
