Eolo Plus aspiration unit
EN
The Ref. 080532 EOLO PLUS is a practical aspiration unit specially designed to be used within the field of dental
prosthesis. It allows the aspiration of aluminium oxide, silicon oxide, resin dust, plasters, and investments and, in general,
any material used in the dental lab. The unit's most important features are the following:
▪
Three-stage filtering circuit, including a filter-bag, a cartridge-filter and a plate-filter in the clean chamber.
▪
Indicator of the filter's filling level. "Obstruction/Filter Full" alarm. Long operation alarm, which disconnects the unit
after operating continuously for more than three hours.
▪
Electronic regulation of aspiration power.
▪
Possibility of "automatic" mode operation, synchronizing the machine's start up with 2 micromotors and a sand blast.
▪
Possibility of simultaneous operation in two working places.
In order to achieve the unit's optimal performance and a long working life, we strongly recommend to read carefully the
following operating instructions.
INSTALLATION
1.
Carefully unpack your EOLO PLUS aspiration unit. You will find a Ø 35 mm flexible connecting hose inside the
packing.
2.
The machine has been designed to operate under the workbench, but it can be placed anywhere else. Choose a firm
surface to place it, far from heat sources, damp or vibrations.
3.
Open the filter lid (D) and make sure the filter-bag is correctly placed. Close the lid again.
4.
Connect the unit's aspiration hose to the aspiration nozzle (A). To do this, simply press it firmly. The other end of the
hose can be connected to a micromotor, sand blast, dry trimmer or any other similar device. In case you want to use
the aspiration unit in two working places simultaneously, you need a "T junction for two working places (ref. 080530-
26)”, supplied as an accessory.
5.
Connect the power cord to a grounded 230 V, 50/60 Hz power source.
6.
The unit is ready to be operated.
OPERATION
The aspiration unit features two operational modes:
▪
Manual mode: The aspiration unit operates continuously monitored only by the [START/STOP] key.
▪
Automatic mode: The aspiration unit operates synchronized with a micromotor. When pressing the pedal the aspiration
starts up automatically and continues in operation until about five seconds after releasing the pedal.
The operational mode is selected with the [AUTO/MAN.] key placed at the unit's controls desk. To start up the aspiration
unit, proceed as follows:
1.
Turn the main switch (7) on.
2.
The display (2) will show the aspiration power (from 45 to 99%).
3.
Select the operational mode you wish by pressing the [AUTO/MAN.] key.
4.
If you select the
"manual"
mode (pilot light off), the aspiration motor will start up automatically.
5.
If you select the “
automatic
” mode (pilot light on) the machine remains in "Stand-by" until you press the pedal of the
micromotor connected to the corresponding base of the aspiration unit. When pressing the pedal of these machines the
unit will start up and will continue in operation until about five seconds after releasing the pedal.
6.
The motor power can be controlled during the operation of the aspiration unit within a range from 45 to 99% by
pressing the [+/-] keys.
Every time there is an obstruction in the aspiration hose or the filter is full, the unit will stop and the red LED pilot (4)
will light intermittently. If the unit was operating in automatic mode, the aspiration will not start up until it detects that the
filter is in good condition, even if the micromotor is in operation. If the unit was working in manual mode, the aspiration
will stop and the LED pilot will cease to light. To start the unit up again, press the [START/STOP] key. If after the
"Filter-full" time the unit fails to detect that the filter is in good condition, the aspiration will stop again.
IMPORTANT
The "Obstruction/Filter Full" detection system has been designed to protect the aspiration unit from any
eventuality. Under no circumstances should you wait to replace the filter until the detection system operates.
Check the filling level of the filter-bag periodically and proceed to replace it (see "Filter and replacement" section
in this manual).
