What you can do with ARGUS 360
The ARGUS 360 is an electronic movement detector for ceiling mounting
in indoor or outdoor areas. It registers moving sources of heat, such as
people, within a defined area of detection (Figure
!
):

Inner security zone:
area of detection 360°, radius approx. 4 m.
B
Medium security zone:
area of detection 360°, radius approx. 7 m.
C
Outer security zone:
area of detection 360°, approx. 16 m to the front, approx. 14 m to
the rear and approx. 20 m across.

Note:
The specified ranges refer to average conditions and a
mounting height of 2.5 m and should therefore be taken as guide
values. The range and sensitivity can vary greatly depending on the
temperature.
ARGUS 360 is designed for mounting on a ceiling or in a 60 mm ceiling
installation box. When it detects a movement, it switches the connected
loads.

Note:
ARGUS 360 is
not
suitable for use as a component of an
alarm system since it is supplied from the mains and will switch the
connected alarm whenever the mains supply fails and is
established again, regardless of whether or not a movement is
detected (false alarm).
– Mount the ARGUS 360 on the ceiling in such a way that the area to
be monitored is covered optimally. If possible, mount the ARGUS 360
sideways to the direction in which people walk (Figure
„
).
– Mounting height: 2–3 m, optimal is 2.5 m (Figure
§A
).
– Movement detectors can detect all objects that radiate heat. For this
reason, you should select an installation site that will not result in
