7 Guide Sleeve, Dust Excluder, Retainer and Bush
Pull the oval bush into the guide sleeve bore to a depth between
9.2 to 9.6 mm from the end of the guide sleeve excluder retainer
side of the bore - Figs 57 & 58.
The bush must be fitted from the actuator side of the housing.
Do not drift in the bush as this may damage the edge and prevent
the fitment of the guide sleeve.
F - Fitting Guide Sleeve Round Bushes (14) -
Long Guide Sleeve
Place one of the new bushes onto a suitable arbor from the
ArvinMeritor service tool MBT 1000.
Insert into the housing bore from the guide sleeve excluder
retainer side of the bore Fig 59.
Pull the bush into the guide sleeve bore to a depth of 7.2 to 7.6
mm measured from the end face of the housing - Fig 59.
Repeat this process with the second bush from the other face.
Pull the bush into the guide sleeve bore until it is between 0.8
and 1.3mm from the end cap seating counter bore. Fig 60
