7 Guide Sleeve, Dust Excluder, Retainer and Bush
C - Dismantling Guide Sleeve Round Bushes (14) –
Long Guide Sleeve
To remove the long guide sleeve round bushes. Using a suitable
arbor, press or drift out the bushes from the housing together with
the dust excluder retainer as shown in Fig 49
D - Dismantling Guide Sleeve “Oval” Bush (16) –
Short Guide Sleeve
NOTE
: Alignment of short guide sleeve oval bush in the housing.
Fig. 50. This is important for correct alignment of new bush when
fitting.
Tolerance for fitment is ±4°from the horizontal plane between the
2 guide sleeve bores. Fig. 50
Before pressing the bush out, check the alignment of the oval
bush and then mark the housing so that the new bush can be
correctly aligned before fitment. Fig.51
Using a suitable arbor, press or drift out the bush from the
housing - Fig 52.
