AUDIO SYSTEM
Anti-theft protection panel
(if equipped)
To deter wouldĆbe thieves, Ford
audio units have a removable front
panel without which the unit will
not work.
Avoid touching the contacts on the
back of the panel and do not use
excessive force to refit it.
Slide the security release button to
the left and remove the front panel.
To reposition the panel, insert the
rightĆhand edge first, then the
leftĆhand side, until the retaining
latchis engaged.
Replacement panels
Your Ford Dealer will require the
following if you need to order a
replacement panel:
1. Your name and address.
2. The Vehicle Identification
Number (visible on a plate
mounted in the engine
compartment).
3. The audio unit type (e.g., 4500,
4600).
4. Proof of identification (e.g.,
driver's license, identity card).
5. A vehicle invoice (if the audio
unit was installed in the vehicle
prior to delivery) or a parts invoice
if the audio unit was purchased
separately from the vehicle, or an
appropriate vehicle registration
document.
