MECHANICAL SPARK ADVANCE (BLACK STATOR)
The ignition switch box receives an AC current from the low and high speed stator assem-
bly. This current is rectified and changed to a DC current where it will be stored in the inter-
nal capacitor. A voltage pulse from the trigger assembly (in firing order) turns on a respec-
tive SCR switch which discharges the capacitor stored voltage and sends it to the ignition
coil.

MECHANICAL AND ELECTRONIC SPARK ADVANCE (RED STATOR)
The mechanical and electronic spark advance mechanism/circuitry operate the same
with the RED stator as they do with the BLACK stator. The only difference is that the RED
stator has only 1 charging coil whereas the BLACK stator has 2 charging coils; 1 high
speed coil and 1 low speed coil.
