Problem

Possible causes/consequences and

You can no longer lock or unlock the

vehicle.

Possible causes:

The SmartKey battery is weak or discharged.

There is interference from a powerful radio signal source.

The SmartKey is faulty.

Check the battery using the indicator lamp and replace if necessary (

page 66).

Use the emergency key to lock or unlock (

page 66).

Have the SmartKey checked at a qualified specialist workshop.

You have lost a SmartKey.

Have the SmartKey deactivated at a qualified specialist workshop.

If necessary, have the mechanical lock replaced as well.
