DUO plus child seat
Function of the buckle
The function of the buckle is very important
for the safety of your child. Functional faults
relating to the buckle are mostly attributa-
ble to accumulations of dust and dirt.
Functional Problem
• The buckle tongues are only slowly
ejected when the red release button is
pressed.
• The tongues will no longer engage (are
ejected again).
• The buckle tongues engage without the
audible "click".
• The tongues are difficult to insert (you
feel resistance).
• The buckle only opens after applying
extreme force.
Remedy
1. Remove the crotch belt

2. Open buckle

Open Velcro on crotch belt pad

take off. Put the seat shell into the
"sleeping" position (see
Sitting/rest-
ing/sleeping - adjustable seat shell
page 51). Grasp the metal plate under
the seat shell, with which the crotch
belt

is secured to the seat shell.

3. Clean the buckle

4. Soak the buckle

in warm water
(with washing-up liquid) for an hour at
least. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
5. Refit the crotch belt

6. Holding the metal plate upright, push
it from above down through the belt
slot

in the cover and into the seat
shell. Check for secure fitting by vigor-
ously pulling the crotch belt

Feed the Velcro of the crotch belt
pad

into the crotch belt

and
close.
