If you park the vehicle and leave it stationary for
long periods:

check the condition of charge of the high-
voltage battery more often
R
connect the vehicle to a power supply
This prevents self-discharge and damage to the
high-voltage battery.
Consult an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center if
you wish to leave your vehicle parked for a long
period of time.
Jump-starting
Observe the notes on jump-starting in the vehi-
cle Operator's Manual.
If the vehicle has been jump-started, the electric
drive may not be available for approximately
30 minutes.
Jump-starting is not considered to be a normal
operating condition.
Jumper cables and further information regarding
jump-starting can be obtained at any qualified
specialist workshop.
Towing
Important safety notes
Observe the notes on towing and transporting in
the vehicle Operator's Manual.
Towing the vehicle with the rear axle raised or
transporting the vehicle should only be carried
out by professional recovery companies. It is
better to have the vehicle transported than to
have it towed away.
The vehicle may not be towed and may only be
transported if:

Only if the vehicle is in an area of danger may it
be towed out of the danger area despite the dis-
play message or display malfunction. The towing
distance must not be greater than 165 ft (50 m).
A towing speed of 6 mph (10 km/h) must not be
exceeded. For longer distances, have the vehi-
cle loaded and transported.
Fuses

WARNING
If you manipulate or bridge a faulty fuse or if
you replace it with a fuse with a higher amper-
age, the electric cables could be overloaded.
This could result in a fire. There is a risk of an
accident and injury.
Always replace faulty fuses with the specified
new fuses having the correct amperage.
It is essential to observe the safety instructions
and the information on changing the fuses in the
vehicle Operator's Manual.
The fuse boxes in the cockpit, in the front-
passenger footwell and the engine compart-
ment are described in the vehicle Operator's
Manual. The fuse box beneath the trunk or cargo
compartment floor is protected with an addi-
tional mat cover.
