There is a risk of an accident if the tyre pressure monitoring system is malfunctioning

If the tyre pressure monitoring system is malfunctioning, it is not able to issue a warning if there is pressure loss in

one or more of the tyres.
Tyres with insufficient tyre pressure may, for example, affect the vehicle's handling characteristics, steering and

braking. ‑
