Use the front coupling jaw for maneuvering, towing and
tow-starting the vehicle.
The coupling pin (3) is secured against twisting (e.g.
when towing with a steel cable) by means of a
CAMLOCK bolt (4).
• Vehicles with large angle of approach/departure:
Fold down step.
• Remove coupling pin cover (1) toward front.
• Grip license plate bracket (2) at side and swivel
downward.
• Turn CAMLOCK bolt (4) 90° to left and remove.
• Swivel coupling pin (3) approx. 90° forward and pull
out upward.
• Insert tow bar.
• Press coupling pin (3) downward through eyelet of
tow bar.
• Swivel coupling pin (3) approx. 90° to rear.
• Insert CAMLOCK bolt (4) and turn 90° to right.
The CAMLOCK bolt (4) noticeably engages.
• Mount coupling bolt cover (1) and clip in.
• Vehicles with large angle of approach/departure:
Fold up step.

The towing eye (2) is part of the vehicle tool kit and is
screwed in behind the cover (1) into the front end of
frame. Ensure that towing eye (2) is completely screwed
in. If the thread is dirty, clean it before screwing in the
towing eye (2). If necessary, recut thread using a M45x3
tap.
• Remove cover cap (1) from front crossmember.
• Screw towing eye (2) into front crossmember
completely and turn to vertical position.
• Pull out locking pin and take out pin upwards.
• Connect tow bar with towing eye (2) and towing
vehicle.
• Insert pin and secure with locking pin.
• Remove propeller shaft(s).
