p - Y our radio is equipped w ith a spe-
■ k d a lly designed Stereo Decoder
w hich autom atically sw itches the
radio fro m stereo to m ono recep­
tion if the signal becomes too
weak. However, the Stereo Indi­
cator Lamp remains lit to avoid the
distracting flicker at short-tim e
signal changes. The radio w ill
return to the stereo mode a u to m a t­
ically w hen signal strength per­
m its it.
Tape Playback
(M exico Cassette M odel)
This type o f radio provides fo r the
playback o f prerecorded stereo
music through the unique co m b i­
nation o f all the features of an
a utom atic signalseeking stereo
radio w ith a tape player.
To sta rt playback, insert stereo
cassette th ro ug h the sw ing-aw ay
door o f the cassette slot and
depress until the mechanism
engages. (Note: Full reel on the
rig ht tape side o f cassette first.)
The cassette w ill be autom atically
released w hen the tape reaches its
end. To play the other side, remove
the cassette fro m the radio, tu rn it
upside dow n and reinsert through
the slot. To m anually eject the
cassette, push the release bar (7).
W hen the cassette is ejected, the
u nit w ill autom atically sw itch to
radio reception.
For fast fo rw a rd or rew ind o f the
tape, depress b u tto n 8 or 9 past
p oint o f resistance. To stop tape
w inding, depress opposing button
to point o f resistance only.
Care o f the Tape Player
Use only good quality cassettes
w ith a m axim um playing tim e o f
45 m inutes per side (C 90).
"U n w o u n d " tapes can be fixed by
rew inding either reel w ith a pencil
inserted in its hub. The pick-up
head and roller should be cleaned
occasionally to maintain the o rig ­
inal high quality sound repro­
duction.
