instructions are intended to prevent accidents
caused by the improper use of the belt sander.
The operating and maintenance instructions
make the user of the belt sander familiar with
the design, the technical requirements, the safe
operation, proper maintenance and upkeep as
well as storage and application. The machine
is used at the risk and responsibility of the
operator. These operating instructions and the

2. Safety instructions
This belt sander is suitable for treating wooden
floorboards and parquet. It may also be used to
remove varnish and wax coatings.
2.1 Instructions for power safety
• Failure to disconnect the belt sander from the
power supply when doing maintenance work,
changing the dust bag, or changing or tighten-
ing the belts may result in injury. Always pull the
plug connector from the socket when carrying
out such work on the machine.
• This machine may be connected ONLY to sock
-
ets that provide the operating voltage displayed
on the machine’s identification label, and that
are grounded in accordance with all applicable
regulations.
• This machine is suitable only for indoor work.
Never expose the machine to water or rain, since
this puts you at risk of an electric shock.
• Never use the belt sander if the power cable or
plug connector is damaged. Worn or damaged
power cables and plugs should be repaired or
replaced only by a qualified specialist.
• Keep the cable well away from the abrasive.
Always hold the cable up off of the floor.
2.2 Safety in your working environment
• Ensure that your place of work is always well-
ventilated and well-lit so as to avoid potential
accidents.
• Remove any possible sources of fire or sparks
from the working area.

Any nails, screws or other metal objects must
either be buried or completely removed from
the area that is to be treated before sanding can
begin. If any sparks are produced, it could lead
to hazardous fires or explosions.
