Place the base on a dry, level surface

Fill the kettle with water through the spout, or open the lid Make sure the kettle is switched
off and disconnected from the mains power supply before filling
– Do not overfill, use level markings for the maximum and minimum levels
– Check that the lid is closed before switching on the kettle, otherwise the kettle may not
switch off properly

Put the kettle on the base Connect the power cord to an earthed mains outlet

Switch on the kettle by moving the power switch on the kettle to the ON position

When the water has boiled the kettle switches off automatically and the power switch moves
to the OFF position
– Always switch off the kettle before lifting the kettle from the base
– Switch off the kettle with the power switch if you do not want to boil up the water again

CLEANING

If necessary, wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth Never immerse the kettle in water
or any other liquid

Stains can be removed with a cloth moistened with water and mild detergent Do not use
abrasive detergents or objects
•
Scale can become deposited on the heater element in time, depending on the hardness of the
water, which can reduce its functionality Descale the kettle regularly for the best function and
taste (at least 2 times a year for normal use)
Descaling

Fill the kettle to the MAX marking with a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water

Move the power switch to the ON position and wait until the kettle switches off automatically

Leave the water in the kettle overnight

Pour out the water

Fill the kettle to the MAX marking and boil up

Pour out the water

Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water
STORAGE
•
Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth Store the kettle in a dry place at room
temperature
•
Remove the filter by pulling it straight up, and rinse with water
