Slide the OFF/ON switch to ON to turn
the unit on.

For best sound quality, extend both
speakers outward as shown above.

Slide the FUNCTION switch to the AM
or FM position to select a band; the AM
or FM indicator and the frequency will
appear in the display.

Rotate the TUNING control to select a
station. When an FM stereo station is
tuned in, the FM stereo indicator will
appear in the display. If the station is not
broadcast in stereo or the reception is
not strong enough, the FM stereo indi-
cator will not appear in the display.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
ANTENNAS
AM
–This unit has a built-in ferrite rod antenna, which provides adequate reception in most areas. If
reception is weak, turn the unit to improve reception.
FM
–The FM Antenna is for FM reception only. If reception is weak, adjust the length of the antenna.
Adjust the VOLUME control as
desired.
