INTRODUCTION:
To get the best out of your new hairdryer, please
read through these instructions carefully before
using it for the first time. We also recommend
that you keep the instructions for future
reference, so that you can remind yourself of the
functions of your hairdryer.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the hairdryer
• Incorrect use of the hairdryer may cause
personal injury and damage to the
appliance.
• Use the hairdryer for its intended purpose
only. The manufacturer is not responsible for
any damage resulting from incorrect use or
handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
• The hairdryer may only be connected to 20
V, 50 Hz.
• The hairdryer or cord must not be placed in
water or any other liquid.
• Never leave the hairdryer unattended when
in use. Children may only use the hairdryer
under the supervision of an adult.
• This hairdryer is not suitable for commercial
or outdoor use.
• When in use, the air intake on the back of
the hairdryer must not be blocked. If the
intake is blocked, the hairdryer will overheat.
If this happens, the overheat protection will
automatically shut off the power to the
hairdryer. Turn off the hairdryer, and remove
the plug from the wall socket.
• You should not leave the hairdryer on
clothes, bedding, etc. manufactured from
synthetic materials and thus very susceptible
to heat and easily combustible while it is
switched on or still warm.
• In order to avoid burns, you should avoid
blowing hot air directly into the eyes or on
very sensitive skin.
Cord, plug and mains socket
• Check regularly that the cord and plug are
not damaged and do not use the hairdryer if
it is, or if it has been dropped or damaged in
any other way.
• If the hairdryer, cord or plug is damaged, the
appliance must be inspected and, if
necessary, repaired by an authorised repair
engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock. Never try to repair the appliance
yourself.
• Remove the plug from the socket for cleaning.
• Avoid pulling the cord when removing the
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
• The cord must not be wound around the appliance.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Check that you have removed all packaging from
your hairdryer.
USE
• The first time the hairdryer is used, it may
give off a small amount of smoke. This is
because an extra layer of protective oil on
the heating element is being heated up. This
is quite normal and not dangerous, and will
disappear after a short period of use.
• To switch on the hairdryer, set the speed
selector (1) to one of the three positions
above 0. In the top two positions, the
hairdryer operates with full air flow, while in
the first position it operates with reduced air
flow.
• The detachable air concentrator (2) provides
concentrated air supply.
• If you hold the cool shot button () in, the
hairdryer gives out cool air. This is useful
when your hair is dry and needs to be set.
• To switch off the hairdryer, set the speed
selector to position 0. The hairdryer can be
hung up using the hanging loop (4) at the
bottom of the handle.
Please note: At low blower speed it is not
possible to alter the temperature.
CLEANING
• Remove the plug from the socket for cleaning.
• Clean the hairdryer with a well-wrung damp
cloth and a little washing-up liquid, if
required. Wipe off with a dry cloth.
• Occasionally remove any dust or hair from
the air intake using a brush.
