SPECIAL SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not touch the evaporator in the
appliance, as this may cause freeze
burns.
• The appliance must not be tilted more
than 45 degrees from vertical during
transport, handling and set-up, as
this may damage the compressor and
cooling system. The appliance must
never be turned upside down.
• Always place the appliance on a dry,
level and firm surface well away from
any edges.
• The built-in compressor achieves a
high temperature during operation,
so there must be at least 15 cm free
space on all sides of the appliance so
that the heat can disperse.
• Allow the appliance to stand for at
least 2 hours with the lid open after
set-up before you switch it on, as the
built-in compressor may be damaged
otherwise.
• If the appliance is switched off, or if
there is a power cut, you must wait 3
minutes before switching the appli-
ance on again, as the built-in com-
pressor may be damaged otherwise.
• The appliance must not be placed in
the vicinity of a heat source or over
an oven, hotplate or similar.
• The appliance must not be used at
ambient temperatures below 5 °C or
above 32 °C.
• Only use fresh cold water in the appli-
ance. Do not allow water to sit in the
appliance for more than 24 hours. If
the water has not been used, replace
it.
• Check that the drain plug in the water
tank is correctly positioned so that the
water does not run out.
