REFILLING THE WATER
•
Remove the plug from the socket. If the
appliance has been on, allow it to cool for
5 minutes before slowly opening the filler
cap and allowing any remaining steam to
escape.
•
Unscrew the filler cap by turning it anti-
clockwise. Empty any remaining water
in the water tank into a sink so that the
container is empty. Make sure not to burn
yourself if the water is still hot!
•
Insert a funnel into the filling hole and fill
with 2-5 dl of tap water or distilled water.
Never put more than 5 dl of water in the
water tank!
•
Screw the filler cap securely in place by
turning it clockwise until it is tight.
•
Always pour the excess water away after
use.
USE
Place the steam station on a flat, stable sur-
face. Turn the thermostat dial on the iron to the
required temperature setting.
Dry ironing
•
The appliance can be used for dry ironing,
even if there is water in the water reser-
voir.
•
Switch on the iron using the on/off button
(2). The indicator light (5) for the iron
comes on.
•
Once the indicator light goes out, the re-
quired temperature has been reached and
you can start to dry iron. The indicator light
will go on and off during use, which merely
indicates that it is maintaining the selected
temperature.
•
Do not fill the appliance with water if it is
to be used as a dry iron for a prolonged
period.
Steam ironing
•
Switch on the steam generator using the
on/off button (1).
•
Switch on the iron using the on/off button
(2). The indicator light (5) will come on.
•
When the indicator light (3) for the steam
generator comes on, the appliance is
ready for steam ironing. The indicator light
will go on and off during use, which merely
indicates that the steam generator is main-
taining the necessary temperature.
•
Press the steam shot button at the top of
the iron to spray steam onto the gar-
ment through the holes in the soleplate.
The steam helps to smooth out stubborn
creases in clothing.
•
Always switch the appliance off using
the on/off buttons (1, 2) once you have
finished using it.
•
Allow the appliance to cool and then pour
out any remaining water from the water
tank.
CLEANING
•
Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth while
it is still lukewarm. Any limescale deposits
on the soleplate can be removed with a
little vinegar on a cloth. Do not scrape the
soleplate, as this may damage it.
•
The outside of the appliance can be wiped
down with a well-wrung cloth.
•
Empty the appliance of water before stor-
ing it.
