INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance,
please read through these instructions carefully
before using it for the first time. We also
recommend that you keep the instructions for
future reference, so that you can remind yourself
of the functions of the hairdryer.

SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the hairdryer
•
Incorrect use of the appliance may cause
personal injury and damage.
•
Use for its intended purpose only. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any
injury or damage resulting from incorrect use
or handling (see also Warranty Terms).
•
Never submerge the appliance, cord or plug
in water.
•
Never leave the appliance unattended when
it is switched on. Children may only use the
appliance under the supervision of an adult.
•
This appliance is not suitable for commercial
or outdoor use.
•
When in use, the air intake on the back
of the appliance must not be blocked. If
the intake is blocked, the appliance will
overheat. If this happens, the overheat
protection will automatically shut off the
power. Turn off the appliance, and remove
the plug from the wall socket.
•
You should not leave the hairdryer on
clothes, bedding, etc. manufactured from
synthetic materials and thus very susceptible
to heat and easily combustible while it is
switched on or still warm.
•
In order to avoid burns, you should avoid
blowing hot air directly into the eyes or on
very sensitive skin.
•
Please note that the appliance will remain
hot for a while after you switch it off. Always
allow it to cool completely before you put it
away.
•
Always keep the appliance at a safe
distance from flammable objects such as
curtains, tablecloths or the like.
•
Do not place or store near other heat
sources or in a damp environment.
•
Do not expose to direct sunlight for long
periods.
Cord, plug and mains socket
•
Keep Cord away from hot objects and open
flame.
•
Check that it is not possible to pull or trip
over the cord or any extension cord.
•
Check regularly that the cord and plug are
not damaged and do not use the appliance
if this is the case, or if the appliance has
been dropped or damaged in any other way.
•
If the appliance, cord or plug is damaged,
the appliance must be inspected and, if
necessary, repaired by an authorized repair
engineer, otherwise there is a risk or electric
shock.
•
Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
•
Remove the plug from the socket for
cleaning.
•
Avoid pulling the cord when removing the
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
•
The cord must not be wound around the
appliance.
•
Unauthorized repairs or modifications will
invalidate the guarantee. Please contact the
store where you bought the appliance for
repairs under guarantee.
•
When the product is used in a bathroom,
unplug is after use since proximity of water
presents a hazard even when the product is
switched off
•
For additional protection, the installation of a
residual current device (RCD) having a rated
residual operating current not exceeding
30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit
supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer
for advice.
