7 – Installation and setting
Danger!
The plug must be pulled out
before any maintenance, retro
fitting or installation work on the
circular bench saw.
7.1 Installing / dismantling saw
blade protection (Fig. 3+5)
• Open the rotary knob until it
touches the self-locking nut.
Caution! Do not adjust the
selflocking nut.
• Slide the carriage bolt (4) as far as
possible through the saw blade
protection (5), so that the square
profile of the carriage bolt (4) is
visible from the saw blade (5).
• When the carriage bolt (4) is
pressed in, first guide the saw
blade protection (5) with the car-
riage bolt (4) into the L-shaped
recess (30) of the splitting wedge,
to the front and then downwards.
• Next, slide the carriage bolt (4)
again with the square profile
interlocking with the recess in the
saw blade protection (5).
• Screw the rotary knob as firmly
as possible. Note! The screw con-
nection between the carriage bolt
(4) and rotary knob is designed in
a way that enables the saw blade
protection (5) to move freely.
Warning! The saw blade pro
tection (5) must always fall
onto the workpiece by means of
its own dead weight.
• Dismantle in the reverse order.
7.2 Changing bench segments
(Fig. 5)
• If the bench segment (26) is
worn or damaged, it must be
changed, otherwise there will be
an increased risk of injury.
• Remove saw blade protection (5)
(see 7.1).
• Dismantle countersunk screws
(27).
