6 – Safety instructions
relating specifically to
the equipment
–
Hold the multi-function tool on
the isolated grip areas with both
hands, when carrying out work
where the insertion tool may
encounter hidden cables.
Contact with a live cable can
also energise metal parts and
lead to an electric shock.
– When working on walls, brickwork
or ceilings, pay special attention
to the placement of electric
cables, and gas, water and
drainpipes.
– Check the planned work area for
the presence of hidden power
supply cables, e.g. with a cable
locator, especially before blind
cutting.
– Always wear safety glasses and
a dust mask when sanding,
especially when sanding above
head height.
– Wear ear protection.
– Wear protective gloves when
changing the insertion tool.
Insertion tools become hot
during prolonged use.
– Do not use the multi-function
tool for wet grinding.
– Only use sandpaper in the length
you need. Sandpaper protruding
from the sanding plate can cause
serious injury.
