4 FDM - Frequency Deviation Monitoring
Analog Outputs
The FDM180 provides two analog outputs (A1/A2), which are provided via a DFK-3 socket, depending on
the system. These outputs have a voltage range of -2.5V ... + 2.5V, divided into 65,536 steps (16-bit resolution).
Either the frequency deviation or the difference time of each analog output can be selected as display-value.
Mode:
Time deviation: Depending on the defined limits for min. and max. time deviation.
Example: min: -100 s and max: +100 s. If a time deviation of -100 s is reached,
the analog output delivers a voltage of -2.5 V and with a deviation of +100 s,
+2.5 V with a resolution of 16bit DAC.
Frequency deviation: Depending on the defined limits for min. and max. frequency deviation.
Example: min: 45 Hz and max: 55 Hz at 50 Hz mains frequency. If a frequency
deviation of 45 Hz is reached, the analog output supplies a voltage of -2.5 V
and at 55 Hz, +2.5 V with a resolution of 16bit DAC.
