ND50
Clear Blue Filter
Clear Green Filter
Polarizing Filter.
Application
Neutral Filter or ND Filter. Grey filters or
neutral density filters are used to attenuate all
frequencies of light equally resulting in
preservation of color temperature. The ND50
filter would indicate a reduction of light
transmission by 50 percent or a passage of
light of 50 percent.
Clear Blue Filter. Suppresses red
wavelengths. Used to achieve desired color
balance. Adds alternative contrast to images.
Clear Green Filter. In the past, used for
adding contrast for use with Black & White
film and still can be used to achieve desired
color balance. Adds alternative contrast to
images. A green filter usually improves
resolution by restricting the waveband
reaching the objective.
Polarizing Filter. Used in conjunction with a
rotatable analyzer, the polarizing filter
changes the angle of light seen in the field of
view.
