MAINTENANCE
NOTE: Turn off power and air supply before carrying any maintenance work on the equipment.
Due to using abrasive materials, the cabinet is susceptible to blockages, wear and tear. Check the following
items on a regular basis:
Blockages
The gun nozzle can become clogged with wet abrasive material. Clean the nozzle manually with for example a
drill bit. Never use a damp abrasive material. If the hose is clogged, cover the mouth of the gun and force the air
back into the hose. This may cause dusting, so always keep doors closed.
Wear and tear
This appears when dust begins to appear in the cabinet. Dust starts to collect when:
- Abrasive media is worn out and lost its granular and round shape or material is mixed with too many chips of
the sanded object. In this case, it looks like there is smoke coming from the gun nozzle. Replace the abrasive
media.
- Air outlet is blocked or outflow of air is blocked. Clean the vacuum to reduce the dust inside the cabinet.
Gun parts are subjected to wear. In this case the grinding is inaccurate and ineffective. Change the tip or the
nozzle.
Viewing window
Viewing window has replaceable protective film. The window may lose its visibility through time, in which case it
is good to change the film for better visibility.
- Air hoses must not be blocked, twisted or pressed.
- Abrasive materials may enter into the door seal over time. Use a soft brush to clean the seal.
- When blasting is finished, clean the nozzle and the air hose, making sure that there is no abrasive material.
