• Check the fuel level� Starting the engine with a full tank eliminates or reduces the need for

stoppages to fill up with fuel�

FUELLING

WARNING!

Petrol is very flammable and explosive� Handling fuel involves a risk of serious burn

injuries and other damage�

• Fuel must be handled outdoors� Fill with fuel in a well-ventilated location before starting the

engine�

• Make sure the engine is turned off� Allow the engine to cool if it has been running� Avoid sources

of heat, sparks and naked flames�

• Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately� Spilled fuel not only constitutes a fire hazard but also

damages the environment and must be wiped up immediately� Fuel may damage paint and
plastics�

• Do not fill the engine with fuel in a building were petrol fumes may come into contact with

flames or sparks�

• Petrol must not be allowed to come in contact with inspection lamps on equipment, grilles,

electrical equipment, power tools, etc�

Remove the fuel tank cap and check the fuel level� Refuel if necessary�

2�

Carefully fill with fuel without spilling� Do not fill above the edge of the fuel filter�

3�

After filling, screw the tank cap securely in place�

• The engine can be damaged if it is run while it makes a knocking or metallic sound� Running the

engine in such circumstances may be regarded as incorrect use�

• Use unleaded petrol with a rating of at least 86 octane�
