ROTATION SELECTOR
Use the rotation selector to switch between
right and left drive. When the rotation selector
is in the middle position the power switch
is locked and cannot be pressed in. Put the
rotation switch in the middle position when the
drill driver is not in use to prevent unintentional
starting.
FIG. 2
NOTE:
Switch off the drill and allow it to stop before
changing the rotation selector, otherwise you
can damage the tool.
GEAR SELECTOR
1. Make sure the tool is switched off and all
moving parts have stopped.
2. Put the gear selector in
LO
position for low
speed and high torque.
3. Move the gear selector to
HI
position for
high speed and less torque.
FIG. 3
ADJUSTING THE TORQUE
Set the lowest torque by turning the control so
that the arrow points to 1. In this position the
tool is set to the lowest possible resistance. The
higher the value the control is set to, the higher
the torque. Set the machine to its highest
torque by turning the control to the drill
symbol. A low torque should be selected for
screwing. A high torque can damage the screw
head slot, or even break the screw. Select the
position marked with when drilling. Before
working, test different torques on a sample of
the same material.
FIG. 4
NOTE:
Switch off the drill and allow it to stop before
changing the torque, otherwise you can
damage the tool.
WORK LIGHT
The tool has a work light to improve
visibility in dark areas. The work light goes
on automatically when the power switch is
pressed. When the battery is discharged,
the work light starts to flash rapidly when
the switch is switched on.
STARTING/SWITCHING OFF
1. Start the tool by pressing the power
switch.
2. Release the power switch to switch off
the tool.
3. Wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before putting
the tool down.
USING AS A SCREWDRIVER
Fitting/removing bits
1. Release the collet jaws on the chuck by
holding the lower ring on the chuck and
turning the lock ring anticlockwise. Open
the collet jaws enough to take the bit.
2. Hold the bottom ring firm and tighten the
lock ring clockwise. Make sure that the bit
is properly in place.
3. Release the bit by holding the bottom ring
on the collet jaws and turning the lock
ring anticlockwise. Open the collet jaws
enough to take out the bit.
