Saw blades
Use the right saw blades for best results.
Blades with a small number of teeth (12
–18) are suitable for lengthwise sawing.
Blades with at least 32, and preferably 48 teeth are suitable for crosscut sawing.
Use special blades for sawing other materials, e.g. aluminium.
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance and cleaning
Switch off the tool, unplug the power cord and wait until all moving parts have stopped completely before
carrying out any maintenance.
Measures that require the casing to be opened must only be carried out by an authorised service centre.
Clean the tool with compressed air, or with a dry cloth, after use. Do not use strong or abrasive
chemicals.
Replacing the carbon brushes
The tool has a function which stops it automatically if the carbon brushes are worn. When the carbon
brushes have been worn to a certain level, this therefore stops the motor. Check the carbon brushes
regularly. Replace the carbon brushes if they are worn down to the wear limit (approx. 50%). Always
replace both carbon brushes at the same time.
Adjusting the sawing angle
The arrow marking for straight sawing (90°) is set at the factory. If necessary, adjust the arrow marking
with a 3 mm hex key on the underside of the base. Adjust the blade to 90° with a set square. Put the tool
on its side and lock the blade to the correct angle with the set screws.
The arrow marking for mitre sawing (45°) is set at the factory. Turn the tool to the 45° marking to set the
arrow marking to 45° (see scale). Check the angle with a set square. Put the tool on its side and lock the
blade to the correct angle with the set screws.
