USE
Electrical connection
Check that the electrical system to which the machine is connected is earthed in accordance with the
applicable safety instructions, and that the power outlet is in perfect condition. The electrical system must
be equipped with a residual current device to safeguard all conductors against short-circuits and
overloading.
The choice of device should be made in accordance with the electrical specifications for the machine,
which are specified on the motor.
NOTE
The plunge saw is equipped with an undervoltage relay that
automatically opens the power circuit when the voltage drops below the predetermined minimum value,
and prevents the machine from resuming operation automatically when the voltage reverts to normal
values. If you cause a machine stoppage by mistake, this is not dangerous. Check whether there has
actually be a power failure in the power supply.
SETTINGS
NOTE
Turn off the machine and disconnect the power cord before adjusting any of the settings on the
machine.
Cutting depth adjustment – figure 2
The cutting depth can be adjusted from 0 to 55 mm. Loosen the adjustment screw for cutting depth
adjustment (6) and set the required depth using the scale (7), then tighten the screw again. The values on
the scale specify the cutting depth with no rail. Do not set the cutting depth deeper than 55 mm at 0°.
Mitre setting – figure 3
The mitre angle can be adjusted between 0° and 45°. Loosen the adjustment screws for mitre setting (8)
on both sides, set the required angle using the scale (9), and then tighten both screws again. Do not set
the cutting depth deeper than 41 mm at 45°.
Blade replacement – figures 4, 5 and 6
1.
Press in the plunge button and press down the saw blade to the blade replacement position,
sufficiently far that the lock lever (15) snaps into place in the front hole.
2.
Press the shaft lock (13) and rotate the blade (10) until it clicks into position.
3.
Press and hold the shaft lock (13) and open the locking screw for the blade lock (17) anti-
clockwise.
4.
Remove the outer flange (16) and the blade (10).
NOTE.
Risk of injuries – wear gloves.
5.
Insert the new blade and reinstall the flange.
6.
Screw in the locking screw for the blade and tighten, while pressing in the shaft lock again.
7.
Move the saw to its original position.
Setting the wedge – figure 7
1.
Adjust the distance between the saw blade and the wedge after blade replacement, or as
necessary.
2.
Move the saw to the same position as when replacing the saw blade.
3.
Loosen the adjustment screw (18) with a hex key and set the wedge 2-3 mm higher than the saw
blade, then tighten the screw properly.
USE
After all of the above procedures and measures have been carried out, work with the saw may
commence.
NOTE.
Always keep your hands away from the cutting area, and do not approach this area when the
machine is in operation.
Starting and stopping the machine – figure 1
You must use the power switch (4) to start the plunge saw.
