neutral mode before starting the engine.

• Start the engine carefully according to the

instructions. Keep your feet away from the
blades.

• Do not tilt the machine when starting the

engine, unless this is necessary to start it.
If the machine has to be tilted, do not tilt
it more than is absolutely necessary. Lift
up the end furthest away from the user.

• Do not stand in front of the ejector

opening when starting the engine.

• Never put your hands or feet near, or

under, rotating parts. Always keep at a
safe distance from the ejector opening.

• Never lift or carry the machine when the

engine is running.

• Switch off the engine, release the spark

plug lead from the spark plug, remove the
ignition key where appropriate, and wait
until all moving parts have completely
stopped in the following situations.

– Before clearing blockages or cleaning

the ejector.

– Before checking, cleaning or doing

any other work on the machine.

– If the blade strikes an object. Check

the machine and repair any damage
before using it again.

– If the machine starts vibrating

abnormally (check immediately).

• Switch off the engine, release the spark

plug lead from the spark plug, remove the
ignition key where appropriate, and wait
until all moving parts have completely
stopped in the following situations.

– Before leaving the machine.

– Before filling up with fuel.

• Reduce the throttle and close the fuel cock

(if there is one) before stopping the
engine.

Maintenance and storage

• Make sure that all the screw connections

are properly tightened to keep the
machine in safe condition.

• Never store the machine with fuel in the

tank in areas with sources of heat.

• Allow the engine to cool before putting

away.

• Keep the engine, muffler, battery

compartment and area where fuel is
stored free from grease, grass, moss, and
leaves, etc. – fire risk.

• Check the catcher for wear or damage at

regular intervals.

• Replace damaged or worn parts.
• If the tank needs emptying, do this

outside.

WARNING!

• Do not use the machine if parts are

missing or damaged – risk of serious
personal injury.

• Recycle the packaging in accordance

with local regulations.

• Two persons are needed to lift the lawn

mower out of the packaging. Make sure
there is enough space to put down the
machine. Stand firmly with your feet
apart, bend your knees and keep your
back straight when lifting.
