Starting the clearing saw
1. Put the power switch on the throttle
control handle in the ON position, press the
throttle control B, throttle control A and the
safety catch so that the throttle control A
locks in half-pressed position.
2. Move the choke lever to OFF position.

3. Press at least 10 times on the primer bulb
when first starting the machine.

4. To start the engine, pull the starter cord
slowly until it catches (10–15 cm) and then
pull quickly a few times to pull round the
engine and distribute the oil.
5. Move the choke lever to ON position.
6. Pull the starter cord until the engine starts.
7. Press in throttle control A and B. When the
engine is idling use throttle control A to
control the speed.
8. When using the trimmer head the feed
mechanism must be tapped against the
ground first to feed out the line.
9. Stop the rotation of the trimmer head by
releasing throttle control A and B.
10. Switch off the engine by pressing the power
switch.
11. You do not need to use the choke when
starting if the engine is warm.
WARNING!
Do not use the clearing saw to clear with the
trimmer head at an angle. Stones and objects
can be thrown up to 15 metres and cause
personal injury and/or material damage.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Switch off the engine, release the spark plug
lead from the spark plug and allow the engine
to cool before cleaning and/or maintenance.
• Proper maintenance and regular cleaning
are essential for the machine to work
satisfactorily.
• Do not rinse the clearing saw with water.
The penetration of water can damage the
engine and electrical parts.
• Clean the clearing saw with a dry cloth,
brush or the equivalent.
Emptying the fuel tank
1. Place a suitable container under the fuel
tank.
2. Remove the fuel cap.
3. Allow the fuel to run out into the container.
4. Replace the fuel cap and firmly tighten.
Engine and muffler
To avoid the risk of fire, regularly clean the
cooling fins on the engine with compressed air
and remove chips, leaves and other debris from
the area round the muffler.
Starter
Keep the ventilation openings on the clearing
saw clean to avoid overheating. If the starter
cord is worn or damaged, contact your dealer to
buy a new one.
Screw unions
Check that all screw unions are properly
tightened and that the handle is firmly attached
at regular intervals.
Spark plug
• Check the spark plug at regular intervals
and remove any deposits with a wire brush.
