6. Operation
6.1. Connecting audio equipment

Please read the information in the section “3. Safety and maintenance” on page 8.

Also comply with the operating instructions of the device to which you want to
connect the Soundbar.

Switch off all devices before connecting them to each other.
You can connect a number of different audio devices to this product, e.g. an MP3
player, a CD player, the receiver of your stereo system, a computer or even your
television.
6.1.1. Using the AUX IN connection
You will need an audio cable with cinch plugs. The product is supplied with a 1
cinch audio connection cable 2 x cinch -> 3.5 mm jack.
Set the audio device to a medium volume. Then switch it off.
Plug the 3.5 mm jack into the audio input socket

on the Soundbar.
Plug the red and the white cinch connectors into the sockets of the
corresponding colours on the output device.
NOTE
Pieces of equipment like stereo receivers or television sets usually have
one red and one white audio output socket. These are usually marked
OUT, AUDIO OUT, LINE OUT or similar.
6.1.2. Optical
connections
Digital amplifiers can be connected at the port marked
"
O P T I C A L "
. You will need an optical digital cable
(fibre-optic cable - not supplied with the product - available from specialist retailers).
Set the audio device to a medium volume. Then switch it off.
Plug the connector into the
O P T I C A L
socket on the Soundbar.
Plug the connector into the corresponding digital input socket on your digital
receiver.
NOTE
The MUTE function is not enabled in this mode.
