Operating the appliance

The appliance is supplied pre-channelled.
No specialist knowledge is required to simply use the appliance. In addition to
these user instructions many functions are explained in the on-screen notes.

Using the basic functions

Starting the appliance - standby

If the device is connected to the power, the control lit is lit.

`

Switch your TV on and select the AV mode.

`

Press the "

STANDBY

" key. The channel number is shown on the screen.

Just like a computer, when you start the digital receiver it first has to load
an operating program. The appliance may take a few seconds to respond.
At the same time the manufacturer's logo is shown on the -screen.

`

To switch to standby operation press the "

STANDBY

”

key. The time

indicator lights up.

Setting volume

Volume changes also affect any video recording that is currently taking
place. In this case change the volume directly on the TV.

`

To increase the volume press the "

+

" key.

`

To decrease the volume press the

"–” key.

The volume level is shown by a bar on the screen.

`

To mute the sound press the "

” key. The symbol is shown on the screen.

`

To hear the sound again press the "

" key again or press the "

+

" or

"

–

" keys; the volume bar is shown again.

If the "

V o l u m e - B y p a s s

" option is activated (refer to page 40) it is not

possible to set the volume from the receiver's remote control.
