Automatic discharging
Batteries will be initially discharged and then recharged in the
NiCd switch position.
NiCd batteries must be discharged before recharging, in
order to avoid the memory effect, in the case of which
batteries not completely charged only retain their capacity up
to the point of the most recent charging.
You will, of course, also be able to discharge NiMH batteries
by setting the function switch to NiCd and placing the
charged NiMH batteries in the charging slots. This is neither
damaging to the rechargeable batteries nor the device,
because NiMH batteries are not subject to any memory effect.
ATTENTION
9 V block batteries cannot be discharged with this
charging device!
The discharging of rechargeable batteries depends on the
total capacity and the remaining capacity. It will therefore
always be different and precise information is not possible.
