13.4. Memory folder structure
The camera saves the pictures and videos in two different direc-
tories on the memory card. The following folders are automati-
cally created during the process:
DCIM
: All the photographs and video recordings are saved in
this folder.
Normal shots are located in the “100MEDIA” folder and automat-
ically named with “IMG_” plus a four-digit number. When the
highest number “IMG_9999” has been reached, the next folder
“101MEDIA” is created for the following shots, and so on.
A maximum of 999 folders can be set up. If another shot is then
taken, a message will appear informing you that it is not possible
to create another folder.
Insert a new memory card.
Do not try to change the folders and files in the camera’s own di-
rectory structure (by renaming, etc.) as this might result in the
loss of data.
