Troubleshooting
Fault Cause
Remedy
Macro mode is enabled.
Disable macro mode.
The photos/films are blurred.
The lens is dirty.
Clean the lens.
The photos/films have a colour
imbalance.
The white balance is not set
correctly.
Select a white balance setting
matching the current light
conditions.
The photos/films appear in unusual
colours.
A special effect is enabled.
Turn the special effect off.
The photos were taken with an
inappropriate flash setting.
Select a different flash setting.
The pictures are too dark or light.
The distance from the subject is
too great.
Move closer to the subject.
The SD/SDHC is locked.
Unlock the SD/SDHC card.
The photos/films cannot be
deleted.
The file is locked.
Unlock the file.
The camera will not switch on.
The battery is flat.
Charge the battery
You cannot insert the SD/SDHC
card.
The SD/SDHC card is the wrong
way round.
Insert the card in the correct
direction.
The computer does not recognise
the camera.
The camera driver is not installed
on the computer.
Install the camera driver.
