Connecting an External Monitor

The notebook has a VGA port (

) for connecting an external monitor.

►

Shut down your notebook.

►

Connect the video signal cable of the external monitor to the VGA port of the

notebook (

Alternatively, you will be able to use the digital HDMI (High Definition
Multimedia Interface) connection (

) for the transmission of image and sound

signals, provided that your output device (a monitor or LCD TV) has a
corresponding input.

►

Connect the external monitor to the electrical socket and power it up.

►

Start your notebook.

The external screen will be determined after the operating system has been loaded. Several
possibilities will be available to you. You will call them up as follows:

A right click on the display.

►

Select the

Screen Resolution

option in the selection window.

►

Select from the following options under

Multiple displays
