Getting onto and off your power chair
Getting onto and off your scooter require a good sense of balance. When you getting on and off, help
of your personal assistant may be required. In order to prevent injury when getting onto and off your
scooter, please, follow the below rules:
turn off the power of your wheelchair;
ensure that your wheelchair is not in freewheel mode;
the seat armrests can be flipped up to facilitate getting on and off the wheelchair;
reduce the distance of you and your power chair;
make sure you seat safely and comfortably before turning on the power.
WARNING!
In order to prevent the power wheelchair from tipping/causing injury, try to position
yourself at the back of the wheelchair seat.
WARNING!
Avoid using your armrests for weight bearing purposes – the wheelchair may tip and
cause injury.
WARNING!
Avoid putting all of your weight on the floorboard - the wheelchair may tip and
cause injury.
Starting the power wheelchair
After turning on the power wheelchair:
1. Always make sure that the LED control indicators light.
2. Always make sure that all the lights work properly.
3. Always make sure that the horn button works properly.
Speed adjustment
1. Always make sure that the speed can be reduced and increased.
2. Always adjust the speed to the driving conditions.
3. Always slow down when you go down the slope.
4. In order to reduce the speed, move the regulation knob so that it
points the picture of the turtle.
