Preparing to Install

The Xcarét Pro Expansion Bay Hard Drive Kit comes semi-
assembled. To prepare for the installation of a hard drive into the
Kit, one must remove the Kit cover from the base by carefully
lifting it up and out until the four locking clips are clear.
Check the contents of the package to ensure that all required
components are present:
a. (1) Black Kit Top
b. (1) Gray Kit Base
c. (1) Silver Internal Hard Drive Bracket
d. (1) Drive Connector with attached LED
e. (4) Dark Flat Head Screws
f.
(4) Silver Bevel Head Screws
g. (1) MCE Mini Philips/Standard Screwdriver
You must supply a 2.5” IDE hard drive that is 12.7mm or shorter in
height and a little bit of patience to perform the installation.
