You will also need the following items to complete the installation:
- Medium-sized Philips screwdriver
- Straightened paperclip
- Soft, clean cloth
Installation Procedure
Step 1: If your Mac is on, turn it off and completely unplug all cables
from the computer, except the power cord. Wait five to ten minutes to
allow the computerʼs internal components to cool.
Step 2:
Touch the metal PCI access covers on the back of the computer
to discharge any static charge.

Note:
To avoid generating static electricity, do not walk around
the room until you have finished installing the internal storage
device and closed the computer.
Step 3: Unplug the power cord.
Step 4:
Lift the latch on the side
of the computer to unlock the side
panel.
Step 5: Gently lower the side panel onto a clean, flat surface, preferably
onto a soft, clean cloth.
