Microwave Oven
9.
Never, use paper, plastic, or other combustible materials that are not intended for use in
a microwave oven.
10.
When cooking with microwave safe paper, plastic, or other combustible materials, follow
manufacturer's recommendations on product use.
11.
Do not use paper towels, which contain nylon or other synthetic fibres. Heated synthetics
could melt and cause paper to ignite.
12.
Do not heat sealed containers or plastic bags in oven. Food or liquid could expand
quickly and cause container or bag to break. Pierce or open container or bag before
cooking.
Precautions to Avoid Possible Exposure to Excessive Microwave Energy
A.
DO NOT attempt to operate this oven with door open since open door operation can
result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper
with safety interlocks.
B.
DO NOT place any object between oven front face and door. This could cause soil or
cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces and affect the efficiency of the oven.
C.
DO NOT operate oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that oven door close
properly and that there is no damage to:
1. door
(bent)
2.
hinges and latches (broken or loosened)
3.
door seals and sealing surfaces.
D.
Oven should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly qualified service
technician.
Do not operate the unit when empty
When operating oven, be sure there is absorbing material (food, water) inside oven. In
sufficient or improper food loads may cause magnetron(s) to overheat. Using metal containers
may also cause the magnetron to overheat. When magnetrons do overheat, the thermal switch
will turn the oven off, to allow the magnetron to cool. Several minutes will elapse before the
switch resets and allows the oven to operate.
Do not put excessive weight on door.
The oven door is NOT designed to hold excessive weight. Additional weight placed on the door
can cause it to become misaligned. This will result in improper oven operation.
